Civil calls upon all stakeholders in the electoral competition to adhere to the election campaign silence, but also to be fair and obey the laws and principles of democracy on the election day, so that the citizens can freely express their own will
Civil appeals for utmost observance of the electoral code and the principles of democracy by the competent state institutions. We appeal for respect of the will of the citizens who have clearly stated their choice in the two previous rounds. We expect that all necessary conditions for free and non-violent elections will be ensured for the re-vote in the municipalities Center, Gjorche Petrov, Struga and Dolneni.
Civil anticipates the high turnout to be repeated again in the re-vote by the voters who will surely want to reaffirm their choice, despite the series of irregularities and structural violence reported by both Civil's observers and the observers of other relevant monitoring missions during the electoral process. Once again, we encourage all voters to exercise their democratic right to a free vote for the candidate of their own choice, and report all kind of irregularities on Civil's phone (02/5209176).
We call on all stakeholders in the electoral competition to obey the election campaign silence, but also to be fair and obey the laws and principles of democracy on the election day, so that citizens can freely express their own will.
Civil will monitor the re-vote at each and every polling unit in all municipalities with minimum 25 accredited observers, in addition to the mobile teams and activists deplored to monitor the overall electoral atmosphere and media reporting, in relation to which there were strong remarks on bias in the first two rounds of the elections.
