CIVIL awards for citizen journalists

CIVIL will present the first awards for citizen journalists within the Civic Lenses project on Saturday, February 13th, at Hotel City Park, starting at 12 o'clock.

The materials received in January for the contest "Be a citizen journalist" were judged by a commission at CIVIL. Five most successful materials will be rewarded on Saturday with vouchers for the purchase of photo/video and computer equipment.

The highest monthly prize is a voucher equivalent to 110 dollars.

Late last year, CIVIL organized five seminars that were lectured by 19 experts, artists and photographers with an international reputation, and over 130 applications from participants from across the country were accepted.

All the participants of the seminars including the lecturers are invited to the awards ceremony where the project and works of citizen journalists of which a part is anonymous will be presented. CIVIL invites all interested citizens, as well as representatives of civil society and the media.
