We owe you, Madiba. We, the human kind, we owe you. We owe you for your greatness, and we owe you for all we need to learn from you and your life.

Your immense power to understand and embrace what others could not, to do what others did not want to - has left a mark on this civilization that will remain forever. You changed this world.

Most of your life you experienced nothing but injustice and brutality. Courage and wisdom guided you at every step. You reconciled with your persecutors, you found forgiveness for the cruel ones, and created a nation where human rights and freedoms are reality.

You taught your nation and the world of how human beings need to treat each other.

You will not be forgotten, Madiba!
