Official confirmation that an attempt for vote buying in Tearce has been prevented

CIVIL received official confirmation to the information that two persons suspected of vote buying in Tearce have been arrested. The unofficial information that came from CIVIL’s observers on the ground, that one person had been detained under the suspicion of vote buying, has now been confirmed also by official sources of the Ministry of Interior.

CIVIL is in the phase of post-election observation, and sent observers to the Municipality of Tearce immediately after the decision of the administrative Court for election rerun at polling station 2011, due to election irregularities.
