CIVIL goes “Forward” in the Old Bazaar of Skopje

Presenting the Project “Forward” throughout the Municipality of Cair, today CIVIL – Center for Freedom, on the plateau in front of the South East European University, presented all the necessary information to the citizens concerning the project and the requirements for applying for those who are interested.

In a one-hour visit to the Old Bazaar, around 200 triple sets were handed out in Macedonian and Albanian, with educational and informational materials. Representatives of CIVIL were available to hear the views and the information of the citizens regarding electoral irregularities and violations of voting rights. Despite the bad weather conditions, interested citizens stopped and requested more information related to the project.

With hundreds of accredited observers, over 1000 citizen observers and a top team of analysts and experts, “Forward” is a project for long-term monitoring of the electoral process, observation on Election Day, training and raising public awareness on the rights of voters.

The project is implemented at the national level in 14 regional centers of CIVIL and is financed with German funds from the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe
