Freedom Caravan begins!

Freedom Caravan, a USAID-funded project, implemented by CIVIL – Center for Freedom, will be at Menada Club (Skopje Old Bazaar) on Thursday, July 21 from 12 o’clock to midnight.  Musicians, singers, actors, painters, poets, DJs, multimedia artists, as well as media, civil society organizations, and interested citizens will gather together to learn more about the Freedom Caravan, its upcoming event locations and the list of activities scheduled to take place over the course of the next three months. 

Guests will be invited to watch short films featuring universal human rights.  Additionally, local artists and thought leaders will be present to discuss their artwork and to discuss messages promoting human rights and freedoms.  Throughout the day, CIVIL’s Art Crew will play DJ sets.  Civil will also launch the Freedom Caravan’s photo-petition at this event. All guest will be invited to participate.

Civil’s Freedom Caravan will leverage art and culture to catalyze civic awareness and civic participation. It is a dynamic multimedia project that encourages citizen participation in decision making processes at local and national level.
