“Increasing the use and availability of official statistical data in the Republic of North Macedonia”, joint project of the State Statistical Office and Statistics Sweden

“Increasing the use and availability of official statistical data in the Republic of North Macedonia” is the title of the project that today in Skopje will be presented by the Director of the State Statistical Office, Apostol Simovski, and the Director of Statistics Sweden, Joakim Stymne.

As is announced, the event will also be addressed by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kalinka Gaber and the Governor of the National Bank of the RNM, Anita Angelovska Bezhovska.

There will be a panel discussion in the second part, which includes the participation of the Director of Statistics Sweden, Joakim Stymne, Director of the State Statistical Office Apostol Simovski, communicologist Bojan Kardalov, President of CIVIL Xhabir Deralla and Biljana Dukovska from the Anti-Poverty Platform.

CIVIL has been closely following activities regarding the census from the very beginning, with numerous events and continuous reporting on the media platform of CIVIL Media. CIVIL’s team, at the end of last year and beginning of this year, held several panels at the local level with representatives of various municipalities on the topic of census and statistics, not politics, as well as with representatives of the State Statistical Office, such as the director of this institution, Mr. Apostol Simovski.
