VMRO-DPMNE’s precious chandeliers for the church in Ljubanci are an unlawful donation

CIVIL – Center for Freedom strongly reacts following the information of VMRO-DPMNE MP and former war crime convict Johan Tarculovski made publicly about the donation his party has made in the St. Nikola Church in the village of Ljubanci.

According to the information that Tarculovski shared with the public, VMRO-DPMNE will donate the luxurious chandeliers from its party headquarters to the church, the construction of which is linked to many controversies, as well as to criminal proceedings.

If this information from MP Tarculovski is correct, CIVIL reminds the public and the institutions that the entire property of VMRO-DPMNE is frozen by a court decision, due to the existence of two court cases that refer to precisely the property of the party.

Furthermore, CIVIL notes that this concerns a donation during an election campaign, which is contrary to the laws.

CIVIL demands from the competent institutions to reviews the entire case and to determine whether with this the party violates the Electoral Code and many other legal provisions. We remind that the state and its institutions have an obligation to protect the citizens from manipulations and abuse, therefore in that context, to protect them also from corruption and bribery masked in humanitarian actions!
